Křinec is a market town in the Nymburk District. It lies eleven kilometres north-east of Nymburk.

The first written mention of Křinec dates to 1352. The Baroque Křinec Castle, dating from the mid-17th century, is partly open to the public. The Church of St Giles in Křinec dates from the third quarter of the 17th century.
